LinkAja is the flagship product of PT Fintek Karya Nusantara (Finarya). It is the Indonesian pride national server-based electronic money that has been registered in Bank Indonesia. Based on E-money License from Bank Indonesia No 21/65/DKSP/SRT/B issued on February 21, 2019, Finarya has officially received a permit from Bank Indonesia as an electronic money issuer and digital financial services provider with legal entity.
Finarya is a subsidiary formed from the spirit of a national synergy of 10 State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) and one private technology company through their subsidiaries, namely PT Telekomunikasi Selular (Telkomsel), PT Mandiri Capital Indonesia, PT BRI Ventura Investama, PT BNI Sekuritas, PT Pertamina Retail (Persero), PT Asuransi Jiwasraya (Persero), PT Danareksa Capital (Persero), PT Kereta Commuter Indonesia, PT Jasamarga Toll Road Operator, and PT Dana Tabungan dan Asuransi Pegawai Negeri (Persero) which was established on January 21, 2019, in the spirit of national synergy. As a subsidiary of SOEs, Finarya is also open to synergize with private parties with a similar vision and mission. In October 2020, Grab Pte.Ltd officially became one of Finarya's shareholders. Also, in March 2021, PT Dompet Karya Anak Bangsa officially became as next Finarya’s shareholders.
Supported by Telkomsel as the largest mobile operator in Indonesia and an extensive network of the Association of State-Owned Banks (Himbara) with more than hundred thousand financial transaction access points, Finarya's existence as a platform of the payment system of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) products will help to drive a holistic ecosystem of non-cash financial transactions and overall financial inclusion in Indonesia, by focusing on the necessary payment needs for all Indonesian citizen, especially the lower middle class and Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
