AFTECH is pleased to present the Fintech Update for the April–June 2026 edition, which summarizes the various activities, developments, and strategic initiatives undertaken by AFTECH together with its members, regulators, government bodies, and other stakeholders in strengthening Indonesia's digital financial ecosystem.

In this edition, Members will find an overview of AFTECH's agenda, ranging from policy advocacy and the strengthening of dialogue with regulators, community development and digital financial literacy initiatives, the enhancement of governance and consumer protection, to discussions on the continuously evolving fintech innovations and business models. Among these efforts, AFTECH continues to advocate for greater clarity in licensing standards across various business models within the IAKD (Innovative Digital Financial Sector) and is preparing technical guidelines to support industry innovation within an increasingly structured supervisory framework.

This edition also highlights developments in several strategic industry issues, including tokenization and the strengthening of digital finance's connectivity with the real sector, developments in digital assets, cybersecurity and anti-fraud strategies in the age of AI, as well as fintech's role in supporting more inclusive and sustainable economic development.

On the literacy front, AFTECH continues to strengthen digital financial education, including for the younger generation, to ensure that expanding access to fintech services is accompanied by a solid understanding of the benefits, risks, costs, and consumer rights involved.

Through these various initiatives, AFTECH remains committed to fostering an innovative, sound, credible, inclusive, and trustworthy Indonesian fintech industry, with governance, trust, and consumer protection serving as key foundations for the future growth of the digital financial ecosystem.
