In the midst of rapid digital transformation, cybersecurity is no longer merely a technical issue it has become a fundamental pillar in maintaining trust and ensuring the sustainability of the digital financial ecosystem.

In response to this challenge, the Asosiasi Fintech Indonesia has taken part in the Cyber Incident Response Workshop for the Financial, Trade, and Tourism Sectors 2026, initiated by the Badan Siber dan Sandi Negara.

This initiative represents a collective effort to strengthen industry readiness in addressing increasingly complex cyber threats.

Building Awareness and Response Capacity

The workshop is designed not only to raise awareness, but also to strengthen organizational capacity in effectively managing cyber incidents.

Key focus areas include:

  • The importance of establishing a Cyber Incident Response Team (TTIS)
  • Measuring cybersecurity maturity through the Cybersecurity Maturity Assessment Instrument (IKAS)
  • Enhancing understanding of risk management and incident response

Through this approach, organizations are expected to gain a more objective understanding of their cybersecurity readiness, which can serve as a foundation for future capacity development.

Cross-Sector Collaboration as a Key Driver

AFTECH’s involvement reflects the importance of collaboration between regulators and industry players in building a secure digital ecosystem.

The workshop also serves as a strategic platform for industry players, regulators, and cybersecurity practitioners to exchange perspectives, share experiences, and discuss best practices in addressing cyber threats.

AFTECH actively contributed to the program, particularly in sessions covering:

  • Resilience by Design in cybersecurity architecture
  • The application of best practices to build trust within the digital ecosystem

Focus on IT Security Talent and Practitioners

The workshop targets participants who hold strategic roles within their organizations, particularly in the fields of information technology and cybersecurity ranging from IT Managers and IT Security Officers to Heads of IT Infrastructure.

This approach ensures that participants not only understand key concepts, but also possess the capability to make strategic decisions in managing cyber incidents within their organizations.

From Awareness to Action

More than just a discussion forum, the workshop encourages participants to take concrete steps, including:

  • Conducting IKAS self-assessments
  • Identifying gaps in internal security systems
  • Developing strategies to enhance cybersecurity capacity

As a result, the outcomes of the workshop go beyond knowledge sharing and extend into practical implementation at the organizational level.

In the digital economy, cybersecurity is the foundation of trust.

Through collaboration between the Badan Siber dan Sandi Negara and Asosiasi Fintech Indonesia, efforts to build a more secure, resilient, and sustainable digital ecosystem are being further strengthened.
